Hello! I understand it can feel intimidating to begin the process of counseling. I applaud you for leaning toward the healing process to care for your overall health. Life can be hard and I'm here to partner with you, encouraging you to share your thoughts and feelings in a safe and accepting environment. Using a person centered process can provide immense healing in a place of comfort and compassion. Being heard and understood can allow you the space to be open and honest about the struggles you face. This is your path to walk, but I will walk alongside you. You are not alone on this journey. I received my Masters in Counseling and School Counseling from Western Michigan University with an undergraduate degree is in Behavioral Psychology/Applied Behavioral Analysis. I have experience in individual and group therapy (of all ages) and have been in private practice since 2009. I counsel from a strengths based approach using a variety of theories that best fit the client including person-centered and cognitive-behavioral therapy. I work with clients that need help to manage their anxiety, depression, and family/teen/children issues. In my spare time I like to travel, camp and hike with my husband and spend quality time with our children and grandchildren.

Vanessa Cleere
Hello! My name is Vanessa Cleere. I am a mom, educator and a fixer. I am a Licensed Professional Counselor in the great state of Texas and have lived here my entire life. I grew up in South Texas and relocated to attend Baylor University to pursue my degree in Psychology. I obtained my Master's in Counseling at Tarleton State University a few years after. I have worked in a school setting for over ten years and helped many families who needed extra support for various reasons. I understand that life can get tough and that having some one that will help you process your thoughts and feelings is important. My counseling style is emphatic, trusting and interactive. I believe that my clients need to say what is on their minds and be able to feel safe to process it with me. Most people who seek my support are experiencing some form of stress in their lives. This could be job related, family related or a current problem they are trying to solve. This may manifest as anxiety, depression, anger, addictive behaviors, disordered eating, grief, trauma, relationship conflict, a struggle with life transitions, and trauma. I also assist people who wish to deepen their self-understanding and personal growth. Whatever you are going through, I believe that we can join together to help you understand your unique experience and develop creative solutions. My approach is a mostly humanistic in that we focus on ways to help improve an individual's self-image or self-actualization - the things that make them feel worthwhile. I like to set goals when needed and work on various tasks in order to reach the clients ultimate needs. It takes courage to seek out help so I look forward to making that an easy and comfortable step for you!

Lindsay Lientz (he/him)
I’m glad you're here! My name is Lindsay Lientz, and I’m a professional counselor. Before I say anything else, it’s important to welcome and congratulate you. Asking for help is not easy for everyone. You’ve taken a bigger step than you realize in simply beginning your search. Soon I believe you’ll find out just how far you can go toward making your life what you really want it to be, so congrats on taking that first step. I’ve been in the counseling profession for 25 years. It’s been one of the most rewarding choices I made as a young person. I place high value on the people with whom I work. Most often, my approach includes helping people realize what they already knew, and just need the encouragement and safe space to say aloud. My counseling approach is eclectic, but one unchanging factor is the time and patience I extend to everyone. We all need a safe space to open up. On a personal note, my favorite thing in the world is being a dad and a "papa." I have two young adult children, a granddaughter, and I also am a “dad again” to my wife’s children. Together, we have several dogs, and have started raising chickens, so life can sometimes be noisy and active! When I’m not doing the work I love, I prefer to spend time outdoors doing anything that keeps me moving. I believe movement is life. Some of the choices you’ll make over the next couple years could set you on a really successful course. I would be happy to be part of your team, helping encourage you toward the next stage of life. Thanks again for taking this first big step - no matter who you choose to work with, I believe you'll make progress toward the person you want and the world needs.
