Cecelia A. Maurer MA, LPC I work with adults of any age, individuals only. I do not work with couples or families, although I do work with family and relationship issues. *** Hours: M-F 6:00am-3:00pm. Occasionally, I offer weekend appointments, however, on weekends I’m generally engaging in self-care, most likely out on a bicycle trail somewhere. I’m an early riser, and a true morning person, so I offer appointment times as early as 6am…or possibly earlier if needed. However, in the evening my brain is mush and I am all worded out- so I’m basically useless, therefore, my latest evening appt is 3:00pm. I am a Christian, and a professional counselor licensed in Texas with over 17 years of experience working as both a counselor and life/ academic coach. I have worked with clients with a wide range of concerns including anxiety, relationship issues, young adult issues, career challenges, OCD and ADHD. I do not currently treat PTSD, severe mental health diagnosis, substance abuse issues. In addition to counseling, I have also worked in higher education as an adjunct instructor and as an academic coach. My counseling style is warm and interactive, yet straightforward. I believe in treating anyone with respect, sensitivity, and compassion. My approach combines cognitive-behavioral, humanistic, and short-term, solution focused counseling. I will tailor our dialog and treatment plan to meet your unique and specific needs. I offer appointments M-F 6:00am -3:00pm Change can be difficult but if you are ready to take the first step, I will be happy to help and support you in that effort. I look forward to working with you!

Hello! I am a Licensed Professional Counselor in Texas with experience in providing therapy and coaching to clients. I have worked with clients from ages 10 and up with a multitude of presenting issues such as developmental trauma, depression, anxiety, relationship and family issues, PTSD, self-esteem and self-identity issues and neurodevelopmental disorders. I came to the game late, getting my Bachelors and Masters in my 40's. I spent a lot of time in the business world, hiring, training and mentoring and I bring much of that experience to my therapy. I have worked with adolescents and adults that have experienced trauma, PTSD, anxiety and depression. I have a varied experience coaching and mentoring young adults, women and single parents, both men and women. My experience is multifaceted working with individuals, families and parents separately. I believe the greatest agent of change is the relationship. Whether it is the relationship you have with a therapist, your spiritual relationship or a relationship with others. Relationships provide powerful impact for good and for bad. My focus in therapy is to meet a client where they are with unconditional positive regard and to use an approach that will work best as we work toward meeting therapy goals. With my experience, I truly believe I can help people heal their relationships and work through the struggles they face. I am here to support you through your journey.

Hi there! I am so happy you came across my BetterHelp site and are taking steps to take care of your mental health. I am very passionate about providing mental health services and breaking the stigma around taking care of mental health needs. I think it is vital in the therapeutic process to feel comfortable with your therapist and I wanted to share about myself so you can see if I might be a good fit for you. My name is Andrea Kay and I have my Master of Arts in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from the University of Texas at Tyler. I have been a counselor in Texas since 2016 and have worked in a variety of settings and with many different populations. I've counseled in crisis centers working with people in their lowest battles of depression, bipolar disorder or schizophrenia. I've counseled kids, teens and families at a community counseling center to work on improving communication, setting healthy boundaries and creating healthy home environments. I've counseled adults through a range of life experiences from general anxiety, transitions, loss, depression and low self-esteem and I also enjoy working with anyone looking to focus on general self growth regardless of having a specific area of concern. My approach is to listen and understand your experiences and collaborate with you to set goals and work toward a more desirable situation. There are a lot of things that we can not control in our lives which is important to acknowledge, and there are also things we can control like our approach, outlook and perspective on our situations. Using an eclectic approach combining cognitive behavioral therapy, solution focused therapy, narrative therapy and person centered techniques we will work together toward your goals and overall improvement in your mental health. I hope to have the pleasure of meeting you and be well!

I am a Licensed Professional Counselor with a MA in Professional Counseling from Liberty University. I have focused my counseling career on helping individuals adjust to various life transitions and traumas. These transitions may be due to retirement, parenthood, or moving into adulthood. The transitions may be by choice, such as marriage, or by force, such as a work-related injury. No matter what the cause of the life transitions, I have dedicated my career to helping people learn how to identify the skills they already possess, strengthen these skills, and then learn new skills in order to make the life changes they desire. I also hold a BSW in Social Work from the University of Wyoming. Prior to becoming a counselor, I spent 16 years as a Social Worker focusing on helping individuals with chronic mental illness and life-altering disabilities learn to cope with life. My experience from this season of my career has helped enable me to look beyond the present circumstances and help individuals gain hope for a future created through circumstances, but not defined by those circumstances. I believe that therapy is a journey for which all people can benefit in order to take charge of their lives and make intentional choices to find joy in the midst of a chaotic world. My role within this journey is to come alongside my client and help them grow during this season of change. I look forward to the opportunities for growth and change which are available as a partner with my clients. On a personal note, I have lived in Texas for over 27 years and enjoy the diversity and opportunities available in the Lonestar State. When I'm not working I enjoy spending time with my family, traveling, and learning about history.

Leah Pavela-Mullins
I am a licensed clinical social worker with over 15 years of experience in helping people find solutions to their problems. Over the years, I have been told by clients that they really feel that I am listening to them and trying to understand what is going on in their lives and how they feel. Clients have also told me that they do not feel any sense of judgment, but rather that I accept them for who they are and where they are in their life’s journey. My style is empathetic and solution focused. I will spend time asking you questions in order to get to know you and try to find out what is at the heart of your issue. Together, we will talk about possible avenues you may want to take, or changes you may want to consider. I may give you some “homework” assignments…things to write out or think about, worksheets to complete, or even techniques/exercises to practice in your own time so that some of what we discuss in our sessions is reinforced. Most of all, I will be an objective listener, helping you to gain insight into what is going on with you, so that you are able to make the choices and changes you want to, in your own time. I look forward to working with you!
