I believe that true healing comes from addressing the whole person; mind, body and soul. I utilize client centered interventions to develop a therapeutic alliance, that meets you where you are and work with you to develop a client invested treatment plan. I structure my counseling style to include educational components to help you understand the why. The treatment approaches I ascribe to are Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Mindfulness, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), and Solution Focused (Brief) Therapy. I find it helpful to participate in video sessions so that we can get to know each other better. However, I am also available to you via phone if that is more comfortable for you. My availability is in the evenings and on Saturday mornings, I check messages everyday except Sunday. I am licensed by the state of Texas as a Licensed Professional Counselor and have been providing clinical services for eighteen years. I received my Master’s Degree in Community Counseling from Eastern Illinois University in Charleston, Illinois. I have worked as a Clinician for a Child Placing Agency, Residential Treatment Facility, Psychiatric Hospital, Private Practice and Higher Education.
