Susan Hargett
Namaste and Welcome! I'm Susan Hargett, a Texas Licensed Professional Counselor-Supervisor, and your guide on this journey. My mission is to help you unlock the secret to a content and fulfilling life by harnessing the power of your mind-body connection. Together we can dial into your innate power to restore balance, find harmony, and live the life you desire. We all know life can be a roller-coaster! I am here to help those who need extra support and care to tackle the symptoms of stress, anxiety, depression, and ADHD. Together, we'll take an integrative approach to co-create a plan for success and inner peace. I take an integrative approach by integrating evidence-based counseling modalities (what I learned during my training as a counselor) and from my alternative/holistic/integrative background. Evidence-based modalities include (but not limited to): humanistic approach, client-centered, solution focused, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT; skills), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT; skills), and eco-therapy. Integrative interventions include (but not limited to): yoga, meditation, mindfulness, nutrition (CIMHP), sleep, movement/exercise, connections with others and with nature (eco-therapy), and aromatherapy. I believe establishing and maintaining a strong therapeutic relationship through unconditional positive regard, therapeutic connection, and trust are the most important parts of therapy. If you feel I would be a good fit for you, let's talk and get started on your journey to wholeness. I look forward to meeting and working with you!

Hello and welcome! I am a licensed therapist with over 18 years of experience in the mental health field across private practice and community settings. I approach therapy from a systemic and client-centered perspective, and utilize a variety of approaches to tailor therapy to the needs of each client. I have been fortunate to work with a very diverse population of individuals and couples with a wide range of concerns including depression, anxiety, relationship issues, life transitions, substance abuse/recovery, LGBT+ issues, and trauma. I have training in multiple methodologies, including narrative therapy, Gottman Method Couples Therapy, trauma-focused therapy, and Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing Therapy. My therapeutic approach is collaborative and empowering. Throughout the therapy process, I strive to create an accepting environment so each client feels comfortable processing personal issues or concerns. This, in turn, helps each individual tap into his or her own strengths and achieve desired growth. Reaching out for help can be difficult, and the therapy process can often be challenging. Through working together, I believe you can achieve your goals, overcome obstacles, and ultimately thrive in your personal endeavors. I look forward to working with you.
