Cierra Batiste
Hello, I am Cierra Batiste, a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) in the state of Texas. I am also a National Certified Counselor with over 6 years of counseling experience. I attended undergraduate and graduate school in Tennessee where I also received most of my early experience in counseling. I currently reside in Dallas, TX where I do most of my practice. My background is mostly in trauma, depression, substance abuse and troubled youth. I'm currently a doctoral student under the CES program at Capella University. I am also working on my supervision license to gain additional experiences in the counseling field. I currently work in private practice part time and a current director at a behavioral hospital. My treatment approach is person-centered along with cognitive behavioral therapy. My goal is to help individuals that have went through life challenges that have impeded healthy living. With a collaborative effort, we are able to create positive results. Regularly I seek out outdoor activities on the weekend. I also have a love for restaurants and experiencing new cultures.

Alyssa Van Lopik
Hello! My name is Alyssa and I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker with over eight years of experience providing therapy services. I have worked in a wide range of therapeutic settings including: inpatient psychiatric hospitalization, partial and intensive outpatient care, and managing a private practice in the Austin community. I work with clients affected by depression, anxiety, substance use, trauma and relationship challenges. Originally from Chicago, I moved to Austin, TX during the summer of 2017 to continue my work in therapy. I received my undergraduate degree in Psychology at the University of Michigan in Ann Arbor and my Masters degree in Social Work at Loyola University Chicago. My approach to therapy is client centered: clients are the experts on their lives and determine the direction and depth of therapy. Through a strengths-based and solutions-focused lens, I draw on multiple treatment modalities to guide clients in identifying strengths and developing treatment plans that accomplish their goals. Through Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), I assist clients in exploring relationships among thoughts, feelings, and behaviors to aid in discovering dysfunctional thought patterns leading to self-destructive behaviors and beliefs. Using Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), I support clients through developing skills: mindfulness, distress tolerance, interpersonal effectiveness, and emotion regulation with the goal of moving clients towards a life involving the capacity for experiencing joy and freedom. I am trained in EMDR and use this approach to support clients through their healing with traumatic experiences. Outside of my work as a therapist, I practice yoga as a Registered Yoga Teacher (RYT). I also enjoy reading, cooking, spending time with my family, and traveling to new places.

Dawn Pringle
I have been practicing counseling for several years. I graduated from West Texas A&M University in 2005. I have worked with a wide variety of individuals dealing with issues including, but not limited to, Depression, Anxiety, Self-Harm, and others. I use the Cognitive Behavioral approach initially but am flexible in using other approaches as not every individual is receptive to just one. I find great pleasure in helping others learn to use meditation and relaxation as forms of coping. Everyone has a story to tell, and I eagerly await to hear yours as I help you learn how to move forward from where you may feel stuck at this time. I believe compassion and empathy go a long way in helping others feel heard and respected. It is my goal to help you learn how to deal with the problems you have courageously sought help with. Counseling is not always easy. It can sometimes be difficult, but it is in that difficulty where I will encourage you to continue to work and grow to be where you want to be emotionally. I look forward to working with you.

Domingo Zapata
Hello! My name is Domingo Zapata and I am a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) from south Texas, also known as the Rio Grande Valley. I have been a practicing therapist as of 2016, providing outpatient mental health services for local nonprofit behavioral health agencies in my community as well as in the university setting. I enjoy working with individuals of all ages and of any gender identification. This is not a place of judgment, but rather a place of love and acceptance. As a counselor, being of aid and emotional support in any manner will always come first. I firmly believe everyone deserves to be treated with immense care, kindness, and compassion. I specialize in treating and coping with depression, anxiety, trauma/abuse, low self-esteem/motivation, as well as LGBTQIA+ related concerns, as being of aid to the LGBTQIA+ community is central to my personal philosophy and personal life. My approach as a counselor is highly existential and client-centered in theory, as I believe no two individuals are alike and have found immense success with the combination of various forms of psychotherapy, including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), existential therapy, narrative therapy, mindfulness, and solution-focused therapy. Ultimately, taking the first step in asking for help is the best thing one can do, and for that, I am immensely proud of you. I look forward to helping you on your path to health and healing!
