Alexcis Grushinski
Hi, I'm Alexcis! I'm a Licensed Clinical Social Worker. I help people who long to feel stable and content. In working with clients I find that we all want to be physically, and emotionally healthy but hold ourselves back due to past and present difficulties. These barriers, keep us from moving forward and accomplishing our goals. Living a life of values does not guarantee a stress-free easy life. It can however help get through the tough times by keeping us on track to accomplish our goals. Life is hard and full of stress. I believe that through self-compassion, values, mindfulness, and a desire for something better will lead to a meaningful life. Please message me so that we can get scheduled to start your journey.

I've worked in the mental health field for over 20 years and as an LCSW since 2018. I have worked with diverse populations including individuals within hospital and jail settings. I have worked with those diagnosed with acute mental health diagnoses, addiction, trauma survivors and people trying to rebuild their life. I am comfortable with different backgrounds and belief systems. I've taught at the university level and feel that teaching and encouraging others is something that will always be a passion of mine but I'm also always open to learning! I am a compassionate person and I enjoy humor, when possible. I have worked through the use of Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy, Motivational Interviewing, Mindfulness Therapy, Client-Centered Therapy and Solution Focused Therapy. I'm eclectic in my approach and know that there is not one approach that will work for everyone. I am willing to tailor my services to your needs. Choosing to take action to address something that is challenging for you is powerful and can greatly impact your life. I encourage you to begin whatever journey is needed and to allow me to support you.

Carolyn "Kari" Homan Shannon
Hello, and welcome. I am primarily an emotional release therapist, but have training in CBT / DBT / EFT and other modalities... I have worked as a therapist for public mental health facilities for over 7 years, and have worked with psych hospitals exclusively for the last 8 years, but I miss having direct contact with clients, vs working behind the scenes on their behalves. I have worked with a wide range of clients, from ADHD to OCD to just about everything in between, but my favorite populations are hoarders, those with depression, and people who have suffered serious trauma, such as first responders, or victims of trauma. My favorite technique to use is one that combines the CLIENT'S FAITH BASE (belief in a higher power, prayer), with some ENERGY WORK. It is effective and quick, and most of the people I've worked with have seen resolution within 1-3 sessions. Please bear in mind, that you may need longer than that, based on your trauma and duration, but as this is so quick and effective, It's my preferred method for getting you up and out of the trenches so that you can start approaching your life from a more balanced standpoint. Once your "stuck" points are worked out, then we can continue therapy from a more educational standpoint, where you'll learn techniques, strategies and skills. Welcome.... I'm glad you're here.... Let's get started....
