Rebecca Grissom
Hello, I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker in Texas. I have spent my career in the Social Work field serving a diverse clientele. This past 8 years I have worked in the mental health field as a therapist. My treatment focus has been with children, adolescents, young adults, and parents. I use the Cognitive Behavioral Therapy model, Person-Centered approach, along with Solution-focused model, with an emphasis on mindfulness. Eco-therapy, or integrating nature into treatment, I believe, helps in the healing, re-energizing process. Each client is unique, with their own story to tell, so counseling is tailored to your needs and goals. Best hopes on your journey!

Natalie Wingard
What do you love about working with clients? I love helping people grow into someone they are happy to see when they look in the mirror and can tell themselves: "Today is going to be a good day because I am going to make it a good day." Which diagnoses are you skilled at treating? Most of my experience is treating people with addiction including but not limited to porn addiction, drug addiction, gambling addiction, gaming, and social media addiction. I also have experience working with anxiety, depression, suicidal ideation, ADHD, grief, and sex/relationship issues. Which client populations do you treat? I work mostly with adults but I am willing to see someone as young as 15 or 16 years old. I also work with anyone from any faith or culture; my therapeutic methods are not faith-based. What is your approach to therapy? I am a client-centered therapist. The best way for me to explain this is by using a driving metaphor. If we are in a car together, you are the driver and I am the passenger. As the driver, you control where you go because you have to live with your decisions. I, as the passenger, will help you navigate your journey by providing alternate choices, exploring choices, witnessing your grief, providing unconditional positive regard, etc. And at times, I will challenge you but at the end of the day, I am here to support you in your journey. Why did you become a therapist? I became a therapist because I have lost too many people to suicide and addiction. Loosing one person to either is too much. I have seen and experienced the devastation of learning to live without those loved ones. I want to provide others with the tools to cope with any issue they face because not everyone has the tools or the support system that I was fortunate enough to have.

I am licensed in Louisiana and Texas with 20 years of professional work experience. I have a Master of Education Degree in Community Counseling from The University of Louisiana at Monroe. I hold Louisiana license number 2935 as a Licensed Professional Counselor, Louisiana license number 858 as a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist and Texas license number 77206 as a Licensed Professional Counselor. I am a Board Approved Supervisor of Provisional Licensed Professional Counselors (PLPCs) in Louisiana. I also hold Teletherapy Privilege. I approach counseling from a present focused and ecological perspective. I encourage clients to work towards self-awareness, being action and strength oriented in order to have the capacity to find within themselves the resources necessary to solve their problems and to discover the conditions that will make change possible. I accept a client’s immediate family relationships and larger social context as being important resources in solving life’s problems. I assist individuals in increasing their self-awareness through active techniques. Techniques that I often employ are instruction and modeling of communication skills, family role-playing, empty chair, fantasy work and between session interactive assignments. This “homework” is a vital part of the therapeutic process. The completion of homework is necessary if the client is to get the most from the therapeutic experience. I have experience working with adults who are experiencing difficulties in life that may include also having a mental health diagnosis. I believe that you are the expert of your story and that you have many strengths that will assist you in overcoming things that challenge you. Taking the first step to sign up for therapy can take courage and I am proud of you for getting started!
