I have a Master’s degree in Mental Health/ Mental Health Counseling. Which has enabled me to get my Clinical Mental Health Counselor license in the State of Utah. I have 10 years of experience working in the mental health field. In that time, I have gained a lot of experience in the areas of individual, couples, parents and family therapy. I have several areas of which I have gained expertise in such as; trauma treatment, substance abuse treatment, attachment and family dynamics, as well as grief and loss. I believe that for any change in someone’s life they need to first have a safe place to start from. I try and create that safe place in counseling, to allow you as my client to decide what changes you want to make and how to overcome whatever obstacle their facing now. I work from a place of compassion and empathy as well as straight honesty. I believe that we are all doing the best we can in life and sometimes we just need a little help to change where we are. In my life I have many things going on but for me what helps keep me grounded and moving forward are my desire to help others, my dog Coda and my creative spirit. I am a native Utah resident and have experience both in and out of the LDS church. I currently run a parenting group that allows me to reach many needy families and I find it very fulfilling.

To be transparent, I have a neurological disorder that sometimes impacts my speech patterns, however it does not impact me cognitively. Christina Cooper-Gomm
Hi! I'm Christina, a licensed therapist in Utah with over 10 years of experience. Throughout my career, I’ve worked with clients ranging 4 years old to end of life/geriatric care. In different settings, from schools to on-call crisis intervention, couples therapy, adolescent treatment programs, family counseling and high level executive counseling. I’ve seen firsthand how life’s challenges can leave people feeling stuck, overwhelmed, or uncertain about the future—but I truly believe change is possible for everyone. My approach is down-to-earth, supportive, and solution-focused. I draw from Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Solution-Focused Therapy to help you not only work through past experiences while also learning the tools in order to create the future you want. You are the expert of your own story, and I see my role as helping you uncover your strengths, build confidence, and learn how to navigate life’s ups and downs. I became a therapist because I know how powerful it is when someone truly listens, validates your experiences, and gives you the space to grow. Whether you’re dealing with stress, anxiety, self-doubt, relationship issues, or just feeling stuck, I’m here to support you. We’ll work together at your pace, focusing on what matters most to you. Taking the first step toward change takes courage, and I’m honored to be part of that journey with you. Either way, nice to "virtually" meet you!
