Clark Hammond
My name is Clark Hammond, and I am a Marriage & Family Therapist (MFT) licensed in the state of Utah. I earned a master’s degree in Marriage & Family Therapy from Brigham Young University, and a non-clinical doctorate degree from Oregon State University (Human Development & Family Studies, with an emphasis on Family Enterprise). I have been fortunate over my 20+ year career to work with hundreds of clients in a variety of settings. My MFT background helps me better understand the larger context when working with individuals. From private practice, residential treatment, young adult transition programs, to wilderness therapy, I have witnessed countless victories that come from rising above challenges and experiencing the growth and fulfillment we all hope for. I have also taught for nearly 8 years as a core faculty member in a graduate program training Clinicial Mental Health Counselors. I continue in my private work, but I want to do more. In today’s world, technology provides meaningful opportunities to access a variety of services – more important now than ever before. I am very client-centered in my approach, and see therapy as a truly collaborative process. In addition to the clinical approaches listed below, I glean from the fields of Positive Psychology and systems theory in this work. As “fellow travelers” along this journey of life, we all need support along the way. It’s an honor for me to share the road.

Brittani Furnival

Brittani has experience working within a hospital, IOP, PHP, residential treatment centers and private practice. Brittani specifically has experience in working with childhood trauma, attachment issues, intimate partner violence, autism, depression, and anxiety symptoms. Brittani has also provided parent training for caregivers who are specifically wanting to improve their parenting style/skills and strengthen their relationship with their children.

Kathleen Petrak
I am a licensed professional counselor licensed in Texas with over 20 years of experience working as a therapist. I have worked with clients with a wide range of concerns including depression, anxiety, relationship issues, parenting problems, career challenges, family issues and ADHD. I have worked in a variety of settings, including community mental health, a pain management clinic, and primarily private practice, so I have a wide range of experience. My counseling style is supportive and non-judgmental. I believe in treating anyone with respect and compassion, and I believe that my role is to question and guide, not to make decisions for you. My approach combines a basis of client centered therapy with a variety of cognitive-behavioral techniques. Of course, treatment is collaborative and will be tailored for your specific needs. Change is difficult, but can be very rewarding. I am looking forward to supporting you as you move forward.

Zaya Kuykendall
Do you ever feel like you just need to reset, to get a tune-up so to speak? You are not alone, if you have. Life happens fast! At times it can be hard and we, as mere humans, have to fight to find balance. That balance, reset button, tune-up is within you and as my client I will assist you in finding it. I will take the time to help you reconnect with yourself, regulate your emotions and assess your goals/priorities. Through a collaborative approach, we will share our thoughts, ideas and then decide how to move forward. I encourage openness, honesty - a sense of stability that will help facilitate dialogue and growth. I have an eclectic therapeutic approach with heavy influences of Gestalt, motivational interviewing and Solution Focus therapy. I provide support and feedback - in order to assist clients in addressing obstacles that they may encounter in their lives. I focus on building personal strengths, obtaining ‘closure’ with unfinished business (road blocks) and identifying feelings/emotions. Sessions will work towards a journey of self-awareness. I have been working in the helping field for more than fifteen years, and as a practicing psychotherapist for ten. I have a Bachelors of Science in Psychology (2000) and graduated with my Master of Arts in Professional Counseling in 2004. I have developed a knowledge base and specialization in the areas of domestic violence, child development/parenting, familial discord, women’s issues, and substance abuse throughout the years. I provide therapy with children and adults in individual, group, family, couples and e-therapy platforms. The journey of life is filled with bumps, turns, twist, manholes, road blocks & ditches; whatever the obstacles we face, we MUST stay on the road. We can not give up on self. Only on your personal road, on your journey will you find your inner calm and tranquility...let's make happiness a part of your journey. It is my belief that therapy is mental wound treatment. Just as you would not let a burn on your arm fester with no treatment, you should not let faulty cognitions (stinking thinking), past trauma and other life experiences fester. These mental wounds need care; identification, treatment, plan of care and the ability to heal.
