Hello! If you are here to explore BetterHelp, you are probably looking for support. I'm glad you're here. I know it is important to feel comfortable and to be able to trust your counselor, especially when you're working through personal or difficult things. Let me tell you a bit about myself to help you decide if we will be a good fit. I have been providing counseling for over 10 years as a social worker, and have enjoyed working with many different people in a variety of situations. Some of the people I have worked with have had challenges that they never thought they could handle or work through. Typical feedback I get from my clients is that I am approachable, trustworthy, compassionate and direct in my counseling. I feel I have the ability to get a sense of where you are in your life, your struggles and where you want to end up. It's a challenging world out there and if you work with me, I want you to feel that you can trust me as I support you in this process, because feeling emotionally safe is highly important. I have daytime, evening and weekend appointment availability. We can interact over video, chat or email, depending on your preference. On the days when I don't have appointments with you, I do check my messages regularly. I feel that maintaining a strong connection through the therapy process is also highly important. If you feel that we would be a good fit in counseling, I encourage you to schedule an appointment. It would be an honor to work with you through this time in your life and I hope you feel empowered by taking this first step.

Candace Delis
I am a Licensed Professional Counselor with a Master of Arts in Community Counseling from Lakeland University and a Bachelor of Science in Sociology from the University of Wisconsin-Stevens Point. I work to create a safe, comfortable and accepting environment for my clients. I have previously worked in crisis intervention as well as group therapy settings and like to focus on providing positive support for my clients. I've been told I'm not the "typical" therapist type - I have tattoos and a pretty progressive viewpoint, and I also work really hard to be relatable to my clients. I'm married and have an 18 year old stepson. The rest of my family is made up of 3 rescue dogs, 3 adopted cats, and we recently reached what I call the "livestock level" of quarantine and got chickens and goats. It's a pretty full house. I have worked with adolescents, adults, and couples. I have worked with a wide range of issues, but some of my areas of specialization include: emotional regulation (anger, anxiety), depression, self-esteem building, bipolar disorder, PTSD, grief and loss, assertiveness building, marital issues and relationship building skills. I also have experience with end of life care. My counseling style is interactive, and I believe in treating people as individuals and not labeling them with their mental health issues. You are not your illness, it is only a small part of who you are. I believe in treating people with the same respect, sensitivity, and compassion as I would like to be treated. My approach combines cognitive-behavioral, client-centered, and solution focused counseling. I will do my best to tailor our conversations and treatment plan to meet your unique and specific needs. It takes courage to seek support and take steps towards making a change. Life can throw us curveballs and unexpected circumstances can arise with even the best of planning. If you are ready to take that step I am here to support you and help you find the tools that will help you succeed. I look forward to working with you! My current hours are (all are CST): Mondays 9am-8pm Tuesdays 8am-8pm Wednesdays 8am-8pm Thursdays 8am-8pm Fridays 8am-7pm Saturdays 8am-4pm Some Sundays upon request

Teresa Buss
I am a licensed professional counselor in Wisconsin that is also trained and licensed in art therapy. I have extensive experience working with youth ranging in age from four to 18. I have worked with women and their children in addictions recovery and am very interested in working with veterans because of my own journey through PTSD. I am an LGBTQIA+ ally and identify as non-binary myself. I consider myself to be culturally competent, and will work to understand the perspective of the person I support first and foremost. My therapy style is welcoming and non-judgmental. I feel that my journey in life through trauma is why my heart genuinely cares to know others in theirs. I am honored to support anyone who feels they can trust me enough to share what has happened in order for us to make sense of why undesired behaviors and thoughts are present in their current struggle. I believe in putting the person first and will be an ally on their journey of healing, while continuing to motivate and encourage the person I support, even when it feels impossible. I believe compassion and relationship building is key for success. I honor diagnosis but believe a person is more than a label they were given. My approach is focused on a bottom-up approach that involves using the body, breath-work, and image making to promote neural connections for new habits. I work with the person I support to determine a treatment plan to meet their goals. My life work is rooted in understanding the effects trauma has on the mind, body and spirit. I use current research in these areas of understanding to work towards healing through emotional regulation in order to understand self to be able to create new narratives and patterns that promote a desired post-traumatic growth lifestyle. I have worked with with a wide range of concerns including depression, anxiety, ADHD, OCD, PTSD, addictions, self-worth, death/grief, relationship issues, abuse, parent/child challenges and more. The journey is often not easy, but with support and small steps, I believe it is definitely doable. I look forward supporting you on your journey towards wellness.
