Dr. Barbara Brady
I am a Licensed Professional Counselor, hold a post-masters certification in Marriage, Couples and Family Counseling, completed Basic Family Mediation certification training, and am a lifelong learner. I continue to take courses, attend workshops and other training to ensure my skills are up-to-date and I am always well-prepared to support my clients. With over 25 years of counseling experience, my areas of expertise include working with adolescents, families, young adults and couples in a counseling relationship in the areas of career planning, improving relationships, reducing stress and anxiety, dealing with grief and loss, gender identity issues, child custody issues, parenting issues, conflict resolution, anger management, domestic violence, and more. My passion is helping people achieve their dreams and live happy, fulfilling lives. Counseling is providing support to individuals who reach out, helping them set goals; recognize and address barriers; examine how they are getting in their own way and how they are letting others impede their success and happiness. I enjoy helping my clients set goals and take action steps to move in the direction they want to go. My counseling style is supportive and non-judgmental, helping the client move from being problem focused to being solution focused. My goal is to help clients find a therapeutic process that works best for them, depending on the issue they are dealing with and their unique personalities and needs. It takes courage to seek for a more fulfilling and happier life and to take the first steps towards a change. Congratulations for reaching out for help. This is a first big step in getting the support you need to gain power over your struggles and to begin living the life you have always dreamed of living. I look forward to working with you in this new journey.

Timothy Nichols
About Me Hello, I'm a licensed psychologist based in West Virginia, and I’m eager to help you navigate life’s challenges with understanding, compassion, and respect. I obtained my Master of Science in Counseling Psychology in 1989 and have been serving individuals through "pastoral counseling" and psychotherapy ever since. My experience spans a broad range of issues, including anxiety, stress, parenting struggles, anger management, and depression. I believe in creating a safe, open, and nonjudgmental space where you can freely explore your thoughts and feelings. Whether you're facing daily stresses or more profound emotional struggles, I’m here to walk alongside you in your journey toward healing. In addition to my clinical background, I bring a rich and diverse set of life experiences that inform my approach to therapy. As a military veteran, I understand the unique challenges that come with service, and during my time stationed in Italy, I studied at the University of Maryland (European Division) and learned to speak Italian. My language skills were later rated "fluent" by U.S. government testing, even ten years after I left the military. This experience, along with my work as an adjunct instructor and Director of a federal program for disadvantaged students at Potomac State College of West Virginia University for over 20 years, has given me the opportunity to interact with a wide variety of people from different cultures, social groups, and backgrounds. Throughout my life, I’ve also been deeply involved in my local community. I served as Chair of the local PTA and School Improvement Council, helping to improve educational opportunities for children. For over 10 years, I was the director of the West Virginia Christian Youth Camp, where I guided young people in their personal and spiritual growth. In addition to my professional and community work, I have an interest in music and the arts. I performed for two seasons with the West Virginia Symphony Chorus and currently sing with a Barbershop Chorus in Huntington, West Virginia. I also enjoy writing, and I’ve authored a fictional novel about the 12th West Virginia Infantry—my great-grandfather’s regiment—in the American Civil War. Taking the first step toward therapy can feel daunting, but I want you to know that no matter where you’re coming from, you will find a supportive, understanding space with me. I offer my years of experience, training, and a wealth of life experiences to guide you in your journey toward healing. Together, we’ll work on building a path forward that aligns with your personal values, strengths, and goals. I look forward to walking this journey with you.
