Thomas Homrighaus, LPC
About me
Hello, My Name is Tom.
I'm a licensed professional counselor in Texas with over 20 years experience. Although my license is in Counseling, my education is in Psychology with a bachelors and a master degree in Psychology-clinical focus, along with post graduate study in Health Psychology and Behavioral Medicine-Mind Body Connection. I utilize positive-strength based-solution focused counseling with a strong foundation in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy and Mindfulness. I have extensive experience with group, individual, and family counseling, having counseled clients, supervised therapist and interns, and trained workers in a residential setting for many years. In my residential career, I was fortunate to counsel a diverse collection peoples from all over the U.S. and abroad, with many types of problems, and from many types of backgrounds and lifestyles. My personal counseling philosophy is to help individuals discover strengths, values, self-worth, and empathy for self and others so that person can turn their life around from a painful path of problems to a path of wellness. I'm now offering my experience to mature adults, young adults, teens, and parents seeking experienced professional counseling for a variety of life problems.

Highly recommend Tom’s approach to therapy. He challenges your perspective in a respective and productive manner while allowing you to make your own decisions. If you decision isn’t the best, he will let you know but also won’t push his own beliefs in your either.
