Tia Morgan, LCSW
About me
I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker and have over 17 years of social work experience in a variety of positions. Of those 17 years, ten years have been direct, one-on-one counseling. I obtained my Masters in Social Welfare from the University of California Los Angeles and am licensed as an LCSW in California since 2009 and Oregon since 2016. I have been blessed to have a wide range of experience in a wide range of settings, ranging from a homeless shelter in downtown LA Skidrow, Childrens Hospital Los Angeles, outpatient counseling in clinics, schools, and homes, and both the inpatient medical hospital and outpatient primary care clinic. Every opportunity has allowed me to work with a different population, to grow skills, and address common needs and issues across a variety of lifestyles.
My approach is always to start where the client is, where you are at, in your needs, treatment, support, issues, and concerns, focusing on short-term therapy interventions. I have a goal-oriented, client-centered approach, identifying steps and treatment plans in collaboration with my clients. My therapeutic approaches lean towards Solution-Focused Therapy and Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy, while identifying and incorporating behaviors, core values, and mores from the client's past that no doubt impact the situation you are working on presently.
My hopes are to work and grow along side of my clients, helping you to identify, progress, and ultimately reach your goals. I look forward to working with you and helping you achieve your desired goals!

I appreciate her honest perspective. Her non-judgment. Her ability to draw the conversation out without trying. It is very easy to talk with her. Which is a plus when you are at your saddest. Thank you for being you Tia.
