Timothy Anderson, BACP
About me
I am licensed in the UK with 4 years of professional work experience. I have experience in helping clients with relationship issues, family conflicts, intimacy related issues, & motivation, self esteem, and confidence.
There are two main elements to my approach:
The first is to support you in understanding and working through whatever is playing out in your life in the present moment, such as anxiety, depression or relationship difficulties.
The other is to connect these current challenges to any adverse or traumatic experiences that you have experienced in the past. This also includes exploring your family history to acknowledge any inter-generational traumas which may be impacting you.
Certain practices can then be done to bring your attention to those wounded parts of yourself, creating space for more inner peace and wholeness. This includes Brainspotting, which is an approach similar to EMDR which uses specific eye positions to access unprocessed trauma. If you are interested to learn more there is lots of information available online.
This approach is completely unique and helps you get to the root of your issues, supporting and strengthening those parts of you which need it the most. I also have extensive experience with mindfulness and meditation, which can often support the therapeutic process .
In our sessions, you can expect a judgement free space in which you can feel safe to express yourself freely and authentically. I am also a friendly and good-humoured person, and can help you to feel at ease through any of the challenges that may arise when beginning counselling.
I look forward to meeting you,
Tim

Timothy Anderson is an exceptional therapist. He is a great listener and communicates his perspectives with clarity and care, ensuring I never feel judged. His thoughtful approach, combined with his ability to maintain composed and supportive body language, creates a safe and trusting environment. He listens intently and responds in ways that promote understanding and growth without ever showing surprise or disapproval, no matter what is shared. I highly recommend him for anyone seeking a compassionate and skilled therapist.

Tim is a very good listener and perceptive as well. He asks questions that help get a deeper understanding of situations and context particularly when reflecting on my relationship with others and seeing the other side of things. He’s also helped me with a few tips on managing my communication and relationship at home which has come in handy.

I have been a counselor for over 14 years and I'm probably not the easiest patient, but Tim does an amazing job listen, challenging and refocusing/giving different perspectives. I would recommend Tim as a counselor to anyone needing this support.
