Timothy Jordan, LCPC
About me
I am licensed in Illinois and have experience in helping clients with stress and anxiety, relationship issues, motivation, self esteem, and depression.
I view therapy as a collaborative process of healing, growth and change. Every client is unique and their journey is different. Every client has all the gifts, strengths and life experiences they need to make the positive changes they seek. I am here as a fellow human being to accompany you on your journey. I offer attentive listening, compassionate warmth, thoughtful insights, encouragement and professional guidance. I will gently challenge you and hold you accountable to your own words and goals, because ultimately it is you that is responsible for the change you want to create. As Walt Whitman said, “Not I, not anyone else can travel that road for you. You must travel it for yourself.” But you don’t have to do it alone.
I utilize a wide variety of therapeutic approaches and techniques that help you gain clarity on who you are and what you want, remove any obstacles or emotional blocks that are preventing growth, and ultimately discover your own inner peace, confidence, and motivation.
I have extensive experience serving clients of various racial and cultural backgrounds, sexual orientations, ages, genders and income levels. I strive to be an effective ally for those in marginalized groups and am dedicated to continually strengthening my cultural competence as a therapist and human.
As I know from personal experience, taking the first step to sign up for therapy can take courage. Thank you for reaching out and I look forward to getting to know you and assisting you on your journey.
