About me

I understand that it might be a daunting task to look for a therapist if it is for yourself or for a loved one, but it takes courage and strength to ask for help, and all that is required is to simply make that first step. I am available to answer any questions, it is very important that you feel a connection with the therapist of your choice from the start for the process of therapy to be a successful one.

I am an experienced therapist and a register member of BACP (British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy). My Integrative approach gives me a wide range of resources and interventions to use with clients based on different theoretical approaches. My general philosophy is an holistic one that sees the client as a whole, encompassing mind, body and spirit.

We are all born with a core self that is loving and creative. During childhood years this inner self can get lost because of the way we are parented or due to the effects of traumatic life experiences. Conditions in adulthood such as depression, anxieties, panic attacks, addictions, and relationship difficulties can often be seen as symptoms of the disconnection from our core self. Losses such as the death of a loved one, divorce, redundancy, illness etc. can lead to further difficulties. Counselling is a powerful way to allow you to work through these issues, to reconnect to your inner self, and help you with the healing process. I will support you to gain new self-awareness and perspectives on your situation in a non-judgemental way.

The core aim of my therapeutic work is the creation of a confidential, safe and empowering relationship based on mutual trust and respect. The main healing lies in the ongoing relationship itself and it is this that makes therapy a unique experience for both the therapist and the client. When working with clients I have found that developing “unconditional presence” (simply being with what is) best supports the way that the client is held in awareness. This is essential to any healing and growth, and I believe it to be true that it is the quality of awareness that heals within the therapeutic relationship.

Everyone can benefit from counselling: in most cases even the simple act of being listened to in an empathetic and non-judgemental way is a very powerful experience that in itself can be life-changing for many people.

Some benefits of counselling:

- To lead a more authentic, productive and fulfilling life
- To reconnect with your own creativity and inner resources
- To bring new awareness and understanding to your own situation and life circumstances
- To break the cycle of unhelpful and destructive patterns of behaviour, and understand how these
have impacted or continue to impact on your life
- To have better relationships with family, friends and colleagues and understand how past
relationships have influenced and may still influence you
- To remember or learn about your dreams and what inspires you

Counselling is generally seen as short term or problem focused, while psychotherapy is more in-depth work over a longer period of time, and can be helpful if you want to explore what life means to you, or reflect on important feelings and experiences.

I look forward to hearing from you.

Tiziana is the best therapist I've had. Her approach was warm, kind and understanding. I loved her use of mindfulness in our sessions and the tools she gave me for practising outside of our time together. She was always willing to listen and hear what I had to say and never passed any judgment. She was professional. experienced and an all-around excellent therapist. I cannot recommend Tiziana enough!

Tiziana is compassionate, calming and encouraging. She really listens and asks questions which tells me she really wants to understand. I don’t feel judged I don’t feel I’m a generic response from her. My experience so far has been great

I have made fantastic progress with Tiziana, she is a great therapist and has excellent understanding of co-dependency and self-love. She is warm and deeply empathic and always listens, even if I accidentally interrupt and allows me to communicate and explain my feelings. She is also very open to allowing me to explore and discuss my spiritual side, which is very important to me.. I highly Recommend Tiziana to anyone.
