Tomas Gonzalez, LCSW-R
About me
My name it Tomas Gonzalez and I am a licensed bilingual clinical social worker with 35 years of experience. I have worked at both inpatient and outpatient clinical centers with adults, adolescents and children within the elementary, intermediate and high school settings. I have worked with clients who presented with depression, anxiety, ADHD, parenting problems, parents and children of divorce, marital challenges and various adjustment issues. I am empathetic, respectful and sensitive when working with clients. My approach combines cognitive-behavioral, psychodynamic, systems theories, and transpersonal perspectives.
During the course of my profession, I've come to appreciate the enormous amount of courage (in clients) to change and better their lives and consequently, the lives of others. Within a supporting relationship and environment, counseling goals will be mutually developed to effectively meet these endeavors.
