I’ve only had two sessions so far with Tony Hanson, and both were very helpful. I was specific about wanting lots of homework so that I can be in action between therapy sessions. Tony has been very helpful with that. And I really like that I can update him throughout the week on the app with my Progress, And it’s really great getting a quick message back from him encouraging me. It feels like a real partnership with Tony. He seems to truly understand that I am a demand for getting breakthroughs by doing the daily work. I’m not interested in chatting once a week for a few minutes and then going back to my life for a week. I wanted specific instructions and Ideas for things I can read and do and practice and listen to and watch. Tony’s being great at finding the right things for me to work on. I feel like with this strategy and Tony’s help I can cause the breakthroughs I’m looking for. I feel safe and encouraged and supported with Tony.

Tony listens well and adds unique perspective. His suggestions are ideas that I would not have thought of, and they all serve to move me forward. I feel I can throw any curves at Tony and know that he will guide me towards a positive direction. At the end of each session, he summarizes what we discussed and provides me with homework to work on before we meet again; this feedback clarifies our progress and motivates me to do more.

Tony has been a great help to me in the past year. I first started in therapy with Tony to address some issues in my life and marriage. This past year, however, he has been very valuable to our family, (and, of course, me,) during a serious mental health crisis with our adult son. So helpful when you just son’t know what to do or how to go about it. Tony’s insight and calming influence is something for which our entire family is grateful. I highly recommend Tony and Better Help!

Tony seemed to be a very good fit for me initially, he gave me tasks, listened well and was solution focused. Upon our second session he forgot who I was and that we met which struck me oddly, he did recall meeting me after I refreshed him but it made our session very non personal from my point of view. At the end of the session he asked me to schedule within two weeks to follow up on my tasks and if there was not a session available he would make room for me. Surely there was not room when I checked, I messaged him and had to wait 5 days for a response which then said schedule when he has time available as if his within 2 weeks or he will make time comment was irrelevant. Again, this made me feel like I was just a paycheck for him and not a “client”. Our time together seemed well but his follow up was poor.
