About me

Hi, my name is Trish Miller and I am a Master's Level Licensed Professional Counselor-Mental Health Service Provider for the state of Tennessee. I currently have over 18 years experience in a wide array of mental health and relationship issues in which I am also SYMBIS Assessment Certified. Whether you are experiencing everyday anxiety, life stressors or have been through a traumatic experience, it is my mission to give you a safe place to work on you.

For individuals who have experienced a traumatic experience and/or loss, I have worked extensively in the Trauma Field for over 10 years, specializing in trauma, suicide, homicide, complicated grief/loss, domestic violence, abuse, and Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD). It has been my passion to help people who have experienced a traumatic event regain a sense of self and help them go from victim to survivor.

It is through the integration of different therapy styles and techniques that together with you, that I work to build on your strengths and achievements towards personal growth. This collaboration of techniques will give the opportunity to more effectively work through past and/or present issues that may be causing pain and hardship. It is through these combined efforts, that together and at your pace, we are able to gain insight and understanding into the difficulties so that you may overcome emotional hurdles and experience a more fulfilling life. It is important to remember that making changes in one’s life takes time, energy, and effort. As an agent of change, I am committed to supporting, empowering, and helping you through the challenges you may be facing. I do not believe in a "one size fits all" in life and in counseling. I plan each session based on what works for you and feel that it is my job to create a safe environment, free of judgment, as we work together through the difficult times.

I am a graduate of DeSales University, with a Bachelors of Science Degree in Psychology; and have earned a Master's of Science Degree in Clinical and Counseling Psychology with a Certificate of Advanced Study in Trauma Counseling from Chestnut Hill College.

These quotes represent just a few of the many positive reviews that we have received for Trish Miller. We don't pay anyone to provide their review and they are all made voluntarily. Some people's experience receiving therapy with BetterHelp might be different.

Trish is fantastic, she really communicates and has really offered her services across multiple platforms. She has more commitment to the client aside from just performing her duty through an app, she genuinely cares and that’s what counts :D

Trish is absolutely amazing. Easy to talk to about any topic that's on my mind, willing to listen and help me out during those "freak out" moments that happen in everyday life.
