Tulip Mitchell, Psychologist
About me
I have many years of experience providing therapy in a variety of settings, from pre-school aged children through elderly residents of retirement communities. Specifically, I have provided assessment and treatment services for minors in Head Start, elementary, middle and high school; minors in foster care; young adults grappling with issues involving long-term life choices (such as career and occupational dilemmas); adults facing coupling and uncoupling decisions. I have also worked with parents dealing with developmental and behavioral issues presented by their children; provided grief counseling for individuals and families faced with untimely losses from accident, disease or suicide; and provided individual therapy for senior citizens facing adjustment and existential issues.
I believe that my strengths lie in the areas of assisting parents with the complex and important task of raising healthy children, providing guidance and direction for young adolescents, assisting adults in managing the many privileges and pitfalls of living, and supporting older adults as they experience the challenges of aging.
