About me

My name is Tyneshia “Ty” Brooks. I am a Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor (LCPC) in the state of Nevada. I have been in the Mental Health Behavioral Health field over 18 years in the greater Las Vegas area. I have been the clinical director at several mental health clinics for community therapy agencies. For the last 9 years, I have been in private practice where I have worked with a plethora of clients from all walks of life, with great success. For the last 8 years I have worked with the Sate of Nevada working with clients would have Intellectual disabilities and diagnoses. My ability to help clients, especially those who are resistant or unaware of what changes are needed in their lives I have been successful with helping them heal. I have a great working knowledge and experience working with individuals, groups, couples, and families within a therapeutic framework, using cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), dialectical behavioral therapy (DBT), client-centered focused therapy, reality therapy, and many other modalities have assisted in that success. I have a history of working with interdisciplinary professionals and areas within social services including but not limited to doctors, lawyers, the courts, DCFS, community case managers, psychiatrists, psychologists, and therapists. I am open to using religious practices and prayer, meditation, spiritual healing practices, therapy styles, and resources to develop the ideal environment and therapeutic solutions in order to accomplish and empower my clients healing goals.
