About me

I am a Bilingual Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist with 10 years of experience. I have worked with children, adolescents, adults, couples and families. I particularly enjoy working with adults, couples and families. Throughout my career I have supported clients as they dealt with and overcame issues with depression, anxiety, trauma, relationship conflicts, co-occurring disorders, bereavement and anger problems.

My counseling approach and theoretical orientation is person-centered. I believe that providing my clients with a safe, supportive and encouraging environment will assist them in their life journey and in accomplishing their goals. As all individuals are different and require various ways of being supported, I utilize Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Solution Focused Therapy and Dialectical Behavioral Therapy as needed.

My role as a therapist is to meet you where you are, support and guide you through your journey in life. Together, in a supportive environment, we can work towards creating a healthier and happier life for you!

Vanessa is not only a great listener but she is very perceptive. She can tell by my pauses if I am looking for an answer or validation. But she also challenges me to question my thoughts. I am very grateful to have her guiding me.

Vanessa is great! She truly understands and addresses my concerns and provides the advices that are applicable to me and my relationship. She made a lot of effort in encouraging me to believe in myself and that really worked. My life is moving towards a better trajectory that I didn't think possible because of her help.

Vanessa is amazing. She is so caring, and listens fully and compassionately. I really feel like she understands what I’m saying and how I feel. I feel completely comfortable telling her anything and everything, which is not something I have felt with other counselors/therapists. I’m looking forward to continuing to work with her, my outlook on life has already improved in these few weeks!
