Virginia Dickinson, LCSW
About me
Hello! I am a licensed clinical social worker with certificates in marriage and family therapy and grief counseling. Over the years I have taken a nontraditional career path working in counseling, education, the arts, and management.
My counseling style is supportive and interactive. My approach combines humanism, cognitive behavioral therapy, solution focused therapy, and ecopsychology. I believe that we all have the skills and solutions within us to solve problems, but at times we need guidance and support in doing so.
It takes insight to realize that one needs to make changes in their life, and it takes courage to reach out to get help in doing so. I would be happy to assist you on your journey towards a more balanced and satisfying life.

Virginia was exactly who I needed when I first joined. She listens and has very educated responses that helped me get through a lot of tough times. I would highly recommend Virginia to anyone in need of a therapist, short/long term

Virginia is fantastic at hearing all that is of concern and finding an easy to follow solution. I also feel very comfortable in our sessions even though talking to people is something I try to avoid when I can. She ignites hope and makes me feel like anything is achievable through better choices.

I have only recently just started therapy and I was hesitant to begin this process again. I was concerned originally that my problems were not necessarily in the realm of being fixed by therapy, but after my first few sessions with Virginia I am so happy I stuck with it! I have realized that even if my problems aren’t being directly affected by therapy, it has helped me immensely to just be able to talk through some of my circumstances with someone who is “on the outside“. Many thanks to Virginia and to those responsible for developing this therapy experience!

I’ve so enjoyed my time working with Virginia! She’s helped me work though my past and focus on my future. I hope if I ever need to come back to therapy I can see her again.
