About me

A life of eudaemonia is attainable to all. Eudaemonia is a noun of Greek origin that translates into ‘human flourishing’, ‘a contented state of being happy, healthy and prosperous.’ During the past 19 years of providing counseling services to children, adolescents, young adults, adults, professionals, and families, in individual, couple, family, or group settings, I have encountered individuals who wanted to stop feeling their negative symptoms, whether internal (thought, feeling, sensation), or external (behavior, verbal and otherwise). With me, you will learn to cope with your uncomfortable private experiences, you will learn the purpose of your behavior and you will learn to self-manage as well as relationship-manage. Together, if you want, we can make you thrive in all areas of your life.

Our private, confidential, trusting, collaborative client-counselor relationship will provide the safe space you have been craving to be able to process your innermost thoughts and feelings, with no fears of being judged, criticized, or told that everything will be okay, or worse, told to not feel that way. You may experience true catharsis for the first time. You will learn the value of reframing your thinking, and you learn how to engage in cognitive restructuring. Through mindfulness, you will ground yourself, and learn to be with yourself in the present moment. You will be able to identify the core beliefs that are no longer serving you well. You will increase your self-awareness, your awareness of others, and your awareness of the world at large. You will learn to identify the obstacles within and around you. You will feel empowered to make lasting changes, by being open to new perspectives, learning new and adaptive relational patterns, and conflict resolution skills; learning and applying the coping skills that work for you to become resilient, to heal from your psychological or emotional wound or trauma. You will add meaning to your existence. You will learn to increase your emotional and social intelligence. You will communicate positively, assertively, and effectively. You will re-write your inner script, as well as your outer narrative. Expect the therapy process to be uncomfortable while remembering that growth only comes out of discomfort. I will be right there with you, supporting you, and accepting you fully. I look forward to getting to know you.

I hold an MA in Clinical Psychology from the University of Central Florida since 2004. I am a Ph.D. candidate in Conflict Resolution & Analysis at Nova Southeastern University, Florida.

Vyata is an incredible therapist. Our conversations feel less than “therapy season” and more of a friend giving some educated and core rooted expertise. Her level knowledge and how to apply it to my individual self is unmatched.

Vyata is amazing! I’m glad she’s my therapist. I feel heard and understood! So many times I went to our session thinking I wasn’t gonna cry, but she always asks the right questions and sees beyond what’s on the surface. She motivates me into thinking positively. I try to follow her advice every single day! Highly recommend!

Vyata has been an amazing help and I’m very glad I got paired with her from day one of using Better Help! She has been an amazing listener as well as practical in her advice. My internal mental dialogue has significantly improved for the better and she has also helped me understand a different perspective when it comes to certain repetitive thoughts / patterns.
