About me
I am a New York and Pennsylvania State licensed Mental Health Counselor and earned a Master Degree in Mental Health Counseling at Alfred University. I have continued to gain clinical experience with children, adults (immigrant and refugee population, young students/professionals, people of color) and families with trauma, depression, anxiety, substance use, life transition, cross cultural issues, acculturation, relationship conflict, stress management, career and work issues, and other mental health illnesses.
I practice an integrated approach with a combination of a strength-based, solution-focused, and cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT). My therapeutic outlook focuses on ensuring to approach the therapeutic relationship in an empathetic and non-judgmental way, to ensure clients are comfortable and are empowered to understand and accept their strengths and focus on collaboratively finding those solutions that would relieve/alleviate current symptoms.
