Hi there! My name is Jill Markowitz and I have been practicing for the last 5 years as a LMHC (Licensed Mental Health Counselor). I have experience working with various populations - the LGBTQ+ community as well as with clients who are experiencing depression, anxiety, grief and a difficult time with life transitions. My role as your therapist is twofold; a) to listen to your concerns and provide you with a safe space to speak about your thoughts and feelings without feeling judged and b) provide you with new tools for your toolbox that you can carry with you even after we stop working together. My ultimate goal throughout this process is to get you to talk through all of your thoughts and feelings, help you be able to understand them better and get you to a better place mentally, emotionally and physically. When I start working with a new client, I let them know that throughout this process, I view them as the experts in their own lives, relying on them to provide me with insight into themselves, and together with my clinical knowledge, we can work together on reaching the goals we set forth. Therapy is a collaborative venture, one that is a process and takes time to see change. Additionally, there might be some moments where you come upon difficult truths about yourself or your situation. Just keep in mind this is all part of the journey we are on together. I look forward to working to with you and helping you work through whatever obstacles are currently in your way!

Antoinette Bryce, Clinical Social Worker/LCSW Licensed in NY and NC Hello there! My name is Antoinette Bryce, a Licensed Clinical Social Worker who has been in the mental health and human services field for 13 years. I am a graduate from the Fordham University and currently a lecturer within the Human Behavior field. My passion is “People” and helping them to get to the core of who they are. Starting out as a customer service agent many years ago I have learnt that the “customer is always right.” In keeping this approach, coupling it with a mental health and trauma focused lens, my modality of choice for intervention is from the Humanistic Paradigm- I will meet you where you are at…and then we both work from there. I also include in my practice short-term Solution Focused Intervention and CBT Therapy. I have worked with clients with a wide range of concerns including depression, ADHD, anxiety, work-related concerns including burn-out, parenting problems, religious/spiritual struggles, life transitions, self-esteem concerns, anger management and an extensive background in child welfare. I have also spent all my timeframe as a Human Behavior Specialist working in underserved communities, working closely with underserved clients-specifically members of the black and brown community. Trauma hinders our progress whether the exposure is miniscule, extensive or somewhere in-between. Unless we can identify and understand this impact one cannot start moving towards healing. Let’s start this journey together and explore through appropriate intervention that is designed to meet your needs, a way towards being whole again.

I am a licensed Clinical Social Worker in New York with 31 years of professional work experience. I have worked in multiple different settings including the mental health system, with the school system, at an Employee Assistance Program, an in-patient alcohol rehab and within the foster care system. I have experience in helping clients with many different concerns including stress and anxiety, depression, eating disorders, loss and grief, relationship issues, anger management, motivation, self esteem and assertiveness. I use a number of different therapy models including solution-focused, cognitive behavioral therapy and family systems. The most important part of counseling is meeting you where you are at, treating you with respect, and developing a trusting therapeutic relationship. I realize that making changes can be uncomfortable, As a professional, a wife, and a mother of two grown children, I have faced many situations that have taken me out of my comfort zone. I believe that my experiences, as well as my training, will help you navigate outside your comfort zone as well. I believe that you are the expert of your story and that you have many strengths that will assist you in overcoming things that challenge you. Taking the first step to seeking a more fulfilling and happier life takes courage. I am here to support you in that process. On a more personal note -- I enjoy outdoor activities like kayaking and hiking. I am an avid reader and an animal lover. I have two dogs, both rescues. One is a retired greyhound who is now living the good life!

I look forward to the opportunity to walk this journey together! Let me tell you about myself: I’m a wife, mother to four, and a dog mom! I live in SC but love to travel to see new places and try new things. My favorite place is anywhere with a beach as I love anything involving sunshine and water! Professionally, I am a Board-Certified Licensed Professional Counselor Supervisor, and a Licensed Addiction Counselor in the state of South Carolina and have been practicing in the mental health field since 2011. I am a Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor in the state of Kansas, a Licensed Professional Counselor in the state of Georgia, a Licensed Mental Health Counselor in Washington, a Licensed Professional Counselor in Oregon, and a Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor in Illinois . I am currently working on my Doctorate of Psychology and was EMDR trained in 2021. I am very person-centered in my work with clients as I believe that you know you better than I know you! My practice is solution-focused as I believe in focusing more heavily on the problems you’re experiencing right now and working together to develop effective strategies for improving not only your current symptoms, but also your overall life satisfaction. I often incorporate Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy at times to help identify problematic thinking and retrain your brain to be more positive! Some other theories I believe in are Positive Psychology and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy. I have significant expertise in dealing with adults (18+) who are experiencing the following: various mental illnesses (including but not limited to Schizophrenia, Bipolar Disorder, other Psychotic Disorders, Depression, Anxiety); difficulty adapting to life situations; relationship issues; stress caused by pressure at work or home; grief and loss; self-esteem issues; other difficulties maintaining life balance. I also have experience with addictions issues and am able to help in those areas. I am skilled in aiding others in developing coping skills, interpersonal skills, independent living skills, stress management, personal empowerment and advocacy, healthy leisure habits, and other important life skills. It is important to understand that therapy is about you and what you need, so the process is really driven by the client! My role is to facilitate discussion and prompt new ways of thinking in order to inspire fresh perspectives. :)
