Janet Caldwell
Hello! I'm Janet Larsen Caldwell, a licensed mental health counselor in both New York and Florida and I am wondering: Have you ever scrutinized your relationships with your children or the connection between you and your partner? Are you trying to balance work and home? Are you blaming yourself or have you ever had the feeling that maybe it's you, but would never want to reveal that? If you or a family member has been diagnosed with ADHD, you may be in luck here. Your ADHD personality and/or cultural upbringing may be preventing you from the happiness you desire with the special people in your life! Instead of labeling your issues and behaviors, we can work with what you have. By making changes to accommodate your needs and relieve you of those unwanted feelings of anxiety, depression, stress and, perhaps, loneliness, you and your family will be on your way to increased happiness. Through BetterHelp I provide a safe and welcoming space to discuss the ADHD issues you are tired of ruminating about. If you have reached out to your family and friends and they have not been helpful, it may be too uncomfortable for them, besides not having the answers you need. After studying nursing in college for two years, I decided that the profession was not for me. I have a BA in Human Development from SUNY Empire State College and a graduate degree in Counseling and Community Psychology from Sage Graduate School.

I received my Social Work Education through Fordham University School of Social Services. During the course of earning my Masters, I worked with families and children in the Foster Care System. I worked briefly as a Medical Social Worker in a Rehabilitation Hospital. There my clients included amputees, Stroke and Head Injury patients. The bulk of my clinical experience spans 25 years and with difficult hard to reach clients with a full line of diagnosis'. I am comfortable working with all client populations. I consider my strongest suit to be empathy. Although I have experience with various clinical modalities, I believe that no size fits all. Together with the client, I will discover the best approach to address the clients needs.
